Justin H. Meeks graduated magna cum laude from Kennesaw State University in 2003 with a B.B.A. in Finance and a minor in Business Law. During his final two years at KSU, he interned as a Law Clerk with Sams, Larkin & Huff, which sparked his desire to pursue a career as an attorney. In 2007, he received his law degree from Florida Coastal School of Law. While at Coastal, he worked as a Staff Editor and as the Technical Editor for the Florida Coastal Law Review, the school's student-run legal journal. Further, he had the distinct privilege of spending a semester as an intern at the Florida Supreme Court. Shortly before he received his law degree, he was offered and accepted the opportunity to rejoin Sams, Larkin & Huff as an Associate Attorney.
Mr. Meeks is a member of the State Bar of Georgia and the Cobb County Bar Association, Younger Lawyers Division. He is admitted to practice before the Georgia Supreme Court, Georgia Court of Appeals, United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia. His practice areas include general civil trial practice, personal injury, workers' compensation, construction litigation, materialmen's liens, landlord-tenant disputes, garnishments and dispossessories. His publications include Comment, Circuit Split: Can a Search Warrant that is Particular Upon Issuance Lose its Particularity Upon Execution?, 9 Fla. Coastal L. Rev. 237 (2008).
Mr. Meeks was born in Lithia Springs, Georgia and is a graduate of Youth Christian High School in West Cobb County. He currently resides in West Cobb County and his interests include basketball, racquetball and the Atlanta Falcons.
